Summary

Cylindrical black and gold lacquered, Japanese wedding picnic box with four fitted compartments painted red inside. Lower centre section - cylindrical container with recessed base located on top of base container. Sides painted gold with black abstract design and two black flowers. Interior and recessed lip, painted red.

Provenance

Given to the National Trust with Snowshill Manor in 1951 by Charles Paget Wade.
