Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Sir Ralph Bosville, British (English) School, early 17th century. A full-length portrait, turned slightly to the left, gazing at the spectator, his left hand on his hip his right hand on a table on the left. Short curly hair, spade beard, wearing a blue-black doublet and trunk hose with red slashes, deep lace collar and cuffs and sword. Green curtains drawn back on either side, with green curtain across back wall. A table on the left, covered with a green cloth with a letter on top. Rush matting on the floor.
