Summary
Oil painting on panel (oak), An Equestrian Portrait in the manner of Gonzales Coques (Antwerp c.1614 – 1684). Full-length portrait of a young man mounted on a prancing white horse, to right, followed by a dog; he wears a yellow doublet with white cuffs and collar, long riding boots and black hat with red and white feathers. He carries a whip. Landscape with trees to the left and a distant horizon to the right with expansive cloudy sky.

Bought by Wilbraham Egerton 'from descendants of Rubens'; bequeathed by Maurice Egerton, 4th Baron Egerton of Tatton (1874 - 1958) to the National Trust with the house, gardens and contents of Tatton Park
