Oil painting on panel, James Cranfield (d.1651), attributed to Theodore Russel (London 1614 – London 1689). A head-and -shoulders portrait of a young man aged about 20, with hazel eyes, turned slightly to the right, gazing at the spectator, with long light- brown hair, white shirt tied with red ribbon knotted at the neck and a black cloak across his shoulders.
