Summary
Cover to a sugar bowl (a), hard-paste porcelain, the cover with lemon finial, decorated in reserves with floral bouquets, gilt scroll enclosures and buttercup yellow surround, shield mark in underglaze blue and impressed ‘99’, Sorgenthal period (1784-1804), Vienna, Austria, 1799, the yellow ground and gilding possibly added in England in the early 19th century.
