Summary
Jar and cover, part of a three-piece garniture (with TAT/C/96), earthenware with tin-glaze (Delft), of baluster shape, hexagonal section, the cover with lion finial, painted in cobalt blue after Chinese mid-17th century Transitional period models, with scattered flowers between lappet bands, unmarked, Delft, the Netherlands, c. 1690-1710.

The 1909 Heirlooms at Tatton inventory records ‘15 Blue and White Delft Vases over bookcases in the library’ and acquired by Earl Egerton.
