Summary
A pair of vases, part of a three-piece garniture (with TAT/C/99), earthenware with tin-opacified lead glaze (Delft), of bottle form, painted in cobalt blue after Chinese mid-17th century Transitional period models, with scholars and courtiers between lappet bands, unmarked, Delft, the Netherlands, c. 1685-1700.

The 1909 Heirlooms at Tatton inventory records ‘15 Blue and White Delft Vases over bookcases in the library’ and acquired by Earl Egerton.
