Anne & George Anson by their mother Anne Margaret Anson Ao D 1799. Three full-length portraits of the children playing on a terrace in a landscape. The eldest stands with his younger brother who is holding a tambourine above his head. Their sister is seated on the ground in the centre foreground with a dog.

Transferred to the National Trust with Shugborough’s park and contents of the state rooms, in part-payment of death-duties to the Treasury, following the death of Thomas, 4th Earl of Lichfield (1883 - 1960)
