Summary
A Meissen Ecuelle (broth bowel), with separate cover and stand, one of a pair. in hard paste porcelain, the octafoil shaped bowl with ‘Gotzkowsky’ relief-moulded floral decoration and two strawberry branch handles, the cover with a rose and leaf finial, painted in colourful enamels with scattered naturalistic flowers and gold line bands. German, Meissen, circa 1748-55. Meissen crossed swords makers mark in blue enamel on the base of the Ecuelle and the stand
