Summary
Hanging wall vase, one of a pair, porcelain, basket shaped profile, painted in early 'famille rose' palette enamels with a lobed medallion painted with flowers issuing from rockwork, against an opaque robin's egg blue ground covered with a black trellis pattern and strewn with pink peonies vases, wide everted mouth with 'Shou' medallions on a pink trellis pattern grounds, China, Jingdezhen, painted in Guangzhou (Canton), circa 1735-45.
