Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Saint Rose of Lima (1586-1618), studio of Bartolomé Esteban Murillo (Seville 1617 – Seville 1682), bears signature, probably not original: B.Murillo ft. Shown full-length, in the robes of the Dominican Order, kneeling before the Christ Child, to whom she profers a rose. Christ is shown seated on her workbasket to the left, stretching his left arm towards her.The original of around 1671 is in the Museo Lázaro Galdiano, Madrid.
