Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Alexander Stewart (1699/1700 -1781) of Ballylawn, attributed to Andrea Soldi (Florence c.1703 - London 1771). A three-quarter-length portrait of a man, standing, turned slightly to the right, his head turned back towards the viewer. He wears a wig, an embroidered waistcoat, and a gold-trimmed brown jacket. His left hand is at his hip, and his right hand rests on a table or ledge in the left foreground.
