Summary
Oil painting on panel, A Cavalry Skirmish, German School, 18th century. A battlefield scene with men on horseback fighting, one mounted on a chestnut horse to the left, and one on a white horse to the right. On the ground in the foreground is the body of a man fallen from his horse. One of a pair of paintings of cavalry skirmishes at Mount Stewart by the same artist.
