Oval Staffordshire enamel box, c.1800, floral patterned glazed lid and pink lobed barrel, with motto ' A Lovers gift' metal mounted and hinged lid.
Provenance
Gifted to the National Trust from Lady Mairi Bury (1921-2009) 1976, then erroneously inventoried as on loan to the National Trust from Lady Mairi Bury (1921-2009) 1976 and subsequently purchased by the National Trust from the Estate of Lady Mairi Bury 2012.
