Summary
One of two crested Buxton bits with low ports (one rough and one plain), part of bridle. Stamped 'Champion and Wilton C and W Oxford Street'. The term crested refers to the inclusion of the Hebert crest on the silver mount.
Provenance
Purchased by the National Trust from the John George Herbert, 8th Earl of Powis and Powis Estate Trustees in March 2001.
