Summary
One of two Bridoon bits or Hitchcock gags (identified by Colin Henderson 24/02/2011), jointed with rollers for pulley bearing reins. The rollers with raised foliage decoration. Stamped 'Champion and Wilton C and W Oxford Street', part of bridle.
Provenance
Purchased by the National Trust from the John George Herbert, 8th Earl of Powis and Powis Estate Trustees in March 2001.
