Summary
Cast bronze incense burner in ritual 'ding' with splashed gold decoration. Cast sealscript inscrption underneath 'Xuande zhi' (Made in the Xunande period 1426-35) see catalogue pg.130. Wooden stand in Store, probably for this piece. Chinese, 18th century.
Provenance
Accepted by HM Treasury on 21st March, 1963 in lieu of tax and conveyed to National Trust ownership on 29th November 1963.
