Summary
Cast bronze incense burner in ritual form 'ding', the sides decorated with geometric and stylised leaf motif, and with wooden lid. Inscription inside the bowl 'er shi zu' (ancestor of the twentieth generation). Chinese, 18th century.
Provenance
Accepted by HM Treasury on 21st March, 1963 in lieu of tax and conveyed to National Trust ownership on 29th November 1963.
