Summary
Chaimail coat (zirah bagtar) - Coat of chainmail with four large and four small shaped body plates fastening at the centre of the front, the 'fish-shaped' looped fastenings bound with a leather thong. the five lines of back plates are fluted. The long sleeves and flared skirt in fine steel chain. Inventories - 1775, No.10 'A Coat of Mail of Chain' Clive's inventory of goodsc.1805 '1 Coat of Mail of Chain. 1 helmet'.
