Oil painting on canvas, Lady Frances Devereux, later Marchioness of Hertford, and ultimately Duchess of Somerset (1599-1674), manner of Sir Anthony Van Dyck (Antwerp 1599 - Blackfriars 1641), possibly by Robert Walker (c.1600 – London c.1659). A three-quarter-length portrait, standing to the right, wearing a dark dress, the front of which has jewelled clasps across the white under-bodice She wears a pearl necklace and drop pearl earrings and a pearl headband. Her left hand is held across her body holding her brown stole.
