Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Elizabeth Rushout, Mrs Myddelton (c.1730-1772) as a Girl, English School, circa 1740. A painted oval, half-length potrait of a young girl, facing, head inclined slightly to the left, gazing at spectator, a flower in her hair, wearing a white décolleté dress with jewelled arm-bands, holding a pink-lined blue cloak around her with her left hand. She later married Richrd Myddleton (1726-95) in 1761, as his first wife.

Provenance
With some of the contents, in 1978, that were acquired along with Chirk Castle from Lt-Col Ririd Myddelton (1902–1988) by the National Land Fund and handed, on loan for 99 years, to the Secretary of State for Wales (In 1981 Chirk was transferred into the ownership of the National Trust). On loan to the Trust by Guy Myddelton. Purchased by the National Trust from Mr Guy Myddelton in 2023.
