Summary
Coin. A British William III brass Jetton (a reckoning counter) coin. The obverse shows the faint outline of a draped bust of William III facing right and wearing a laurel wreath. This is surrounded by the inscription WILHEIM [...] ANG [...] which is [WILHEIM III.DG.ANG.SC.FR.BI.HIB.REX] and by a beaded border. The reverse shows four crowned shields in a cruciform pattern depicting a harp, fleur de lys,three lions passant, one lion rampant and in each quarter a letter W. It is surrounded by the inscription 'COUNT[...]OHANN. W[...]DINGERS.REGHPF., which is [COUNTERS.JOHANN.WEIDINGERS.REGHPF] and by a beaded border.

Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
