Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Edward Kinaston (d.1792), possibly Sir Joshua Reynolds PRA (Plympton 1723 - London 1792), inscribed, probably eroneously, on reverse: he sat to Reynolds in 1757 - recorded in Reynold's diary (See Observations), 1760. A head-and-shoulders portrait, to right, in grey coat with silver-braided waistcoat, white cravat and and grey powdered hair.

Sittings recorded in 1760 and thence by descent; given by Philip Yorke III (1905 – 1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973
