Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Sir Thomas Coventry, 1st Baron Coventry of Aylesborough (1578-1640), Lord Keeper of the Great Seal, after Cornelius Johnson (London 1593 - Utrecht 1661), second quarter of the 17th century, after a portrait of 1625. A head-and-shoulders portrait, robed, the purse of office over his left shoulders. He was appointed Attorney-General in 1621 and Lord Keeper in 1625. After the portrait at Montacute (NPG) (?)
