Summary
Oil painting on panel, Elizabeth Stuart, Queen of Bohemia (1596–1662), after Michiel Jansz van Miereveldt (Delft 1567 – Delft 1641). A half-length potrait of 'The Winter Queen', wife of Frederick V, to left, in brown embroidered doublet with lace ruff and jewelled aigrette. After a painting in National Portrait Gallery (NPG 71), which was on loan to Montacute House (NT)

In an undated 19th century Erddig inventory, under 'Board Pictures' and thence by descent; given by Philip Yorke III (1905 – 1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973

Verso: Label on the back, inscribed in the 19th century in faded ink: Elizabeth of Bohemia, with biographical details, including the mis-statement that she died in 1696. Recto: On the front, on paper strip stuck to frame, inscribed: ELIZABETH, QUEEN OF BOHEMIA
