Oil painting on canvas, Jack Nicholas (b. 1720), Kitchen Porter, aged 71 by John Walters (1721-1797), 1791, with long inscription of 30 lines of verse on base of column:...... A full-length portrait, aged 71 in 1791, standing in a park next to an outsized column, a basket on his arm, taking snuff. He was 'deficient in intellect, defective in form'.
