Summary
Bracket for clock. A bracket for an early 18th century, scarlet, tortoiseshell boulle bracket clock, mounted overall with ormolu cast and chased with masks, Cupid and other typical rococo motifs. The circular, enamelled dial has a strike/silent movement.
Provenance
Given by Phillip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
