Summary
Pencil on paper, Sir Kenelm Digby (1603-1665) with his wife Venetia Stanley (1600-1633 and their two eldest sons, Kenelm Digby (1625-1648 and John Digby (1627-1673) (after Sir Anthony Van Dyck) by Elizabeth Ratcliffe (Chester c.1735 - Liverpool c.1810). 1766. In its dimensions and content most closely corresponds to a drawing (Watercolour. on vellum) by Peter Oliver of 1634, (National museum, Stockholm) after Van Dyke's life size group, 1632. Sherborne Castle and Welbeck.

Given by Phillip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
