Summary
Oil painting on canvas, An Unknown Lady, possibly Gilbert Jackson (fl.1621-1640), circa 1630. A three-quarter-length portrait of a young woman, facing, head turned slightly to the right, gazing at the spectator, the tips of her right fingers rest on a table on the left and she carries a sprig of leaves with a rose in her left hand, she is wearing an off-the-shoulder pink dress with slashed puff sleves decorated with saffron yellow ribbons. She also wears a red [amber] bracelet on her right arm and has pearls and diamond rings on her right hand. Roses are strewn on the table on the left and also dress her frizzed blonde hair.
