Summary
A mantel clock with striking movement by Gavelle l'Aine in a Louis XVI case of drum shape in chased ormolu and supported by two marble columns on an oblong marble plinth. The whole mounted with chased ormolu, the pendulum in the form of a sun and the whole surmounted by the figure of an eagle (note on card 'key for clock in desk drawer plus one other')
