Summary
A circular cloisonné box, with missing lid, dating from the Qianlong period (1736 - 1795). The decoration has a brass ground with raised enamel decorations of pieces of furniture and vases containing flowers. 'A brass cloisonné enamel decorated bowl (lacking cover)' (Christie's entry)
Provenance
Purchased in 1986 by the National Heritage Memorial Fund from Francis Curzon, 3rd Viscount Scarsdale (1924-2000). Gifted to the National Trust in 1987 by the National Heritage Memorial Fund.
