Summary
A Chinese bronze tripod incense burner with two handles that raise from the rim. There is a seal mark on the base giving the date of manufacture, Ming Dynasty, period Xuande (1426-1436). It was acquired during the International Relief Force's presence in Beijing, 1900. Provenance
Purchased in 1986 by the National Heritage Memorial Fund from Francis Curzon, 3rd Viscount Scarsdale (1924-2000). Gifted to the National Trust in 1987 by the National Heritage Memorial Fund.
