The Hardmans' House, Merseyside
This collection has 9,210 items online
The Hardmans' House, 59 Rodney Street is the house and studio of the Liverpool photographer Edward Chambre Hardman (1898-1988). It preserves intact the entire contents of a working photographic studio (operational from the 1930s through to the 1950s) such as backdrops, cameras, lights, props, darkroom and printing equipment. It also retains all the Hardmans' furniture and personal effects, including everyday items such as tins of food and packets of soap in the condition in which they were purchased fifty years ago.
