Summary
Stained glass quatrefoil window roundel (far right as facing window), within leaded clear glazing of Crown glass type. Unrelated to the rest of set, and not bearing an armorial. Set in upper light of sixteenth-century mullion-and-transom window. Information from the V&A suggests roundel was made fifty-years after the others, putting the date circa. 1600-1630. However, the Sizergh guidebook states it is early nineteenth-century, presumably to replace a lost sixteenth-century original. Sold in 1896 to South Kensington Museum (now Victoria and Albert Museum) and returned to Sizergh on long-term loan in 1999. Transferred to National Trust ownership 2016.
