Summary
Set of four armorial stained and painted glass roundels. Three dating from late sixteenth century, the fourth probably made fifty years later. Featuring arms depicting the Strickland, Deincourt, Pennington, Roos, Parr, Beetham and Burton families. Sold in 1896, along with the bed, to South Kensington Museum (now Victoria and Albert Museum) by Walter Charles Strickland for £400. The panelling and ceiling had been sold five years earlier for £1000. Returned to Sizergh on long-term loan in 1999. Transferred to National Trust ownership 2016.
