Needlework counterpane, Goanese work, early c.18th; on white satin with gold thread and other colours worked in polychrome silks & polychrome; at centre an emblem of a double-headed eagle with crown, surrounded by trails of foliage and similar borders; at the corners of the main panel a hyena, idealised leopard or Chinese lioness?.
