Summary
Lord Chancellor's Burse, English, belonging to Sir Thomas Strickland Bart., mid-c.17th; red silk velvet burse, lined with red silk satin, heavily embroidered in silver, gold and silk threads, the garter crest with lion and unicorn supporters; used by Sir Thomas Strickland Bart whilst Keeper of the Privy Purse to Catherine of Braganza, wife of Charles II; (Baronet 1621-1694).
