Portrait miniature, watercolour painting on ivory, An Unknown Lady in a White Dress, attributed to Andrew Plimer (Wellington 1763 - Brighton 1837). 1780s. Oval. Head and shoulders portrait of a young woman, turned to the right, gazing at the spectator, wearing a white dress with grey pattern, blue sash, and jewelled choker. Large brown eyes, powdered curly hair tied with a white ribon, high complexion, aged about 25. Trees and sky background. Backing paper marked in red 'no.6'..
