Summary
Longcase clock by 'M.Thomas, Carnarvon' (signed in case) in carved oak case, c1780; arched dial with circular brass name-plate above brass clock-face, surrounded by gilt ornament, including dolphins at top; scroll-pediment; dial flanked by twisted columns; the case carved in front in the style of c.17th lakeland carving, a double cable motif round the dial; a wavy line either side of the door; on the door a pair of double scrolls with foliage infill; on the base, imitation linenfold. The carving is probably Victorian. Mid 19th century.
