Summary
An oak desk box, English, dated 1772 but the box probably earlier, circa 1700. The box of dovetailed construction, with an edge-moulded slope enclosing four small drawers to the interior. The front board carved with two punch-decorated reserves, one bearing the initials 'IC' the other the date '1772' either side of an iron lockplate.
