Summary
A boarded oak desk box, English, early 17th century, on an associated joined oak table of the later 17th century. The box with hinged slope with moulded edge, above a front frieze carved with a register of nulling between chip-carved ends, and with iron lockplate. The stand of four block, column, baluster- and ring-turned legs terminating in pear feet and united by peripheral stretchers.
