Summary
A stained deal chest of drawers incorporating three leather and card folio cases, the chest probably English, late 19th century, the folio boxes bearing a paper trade label for 'Pierre Ainé, MD. Papetier, Paris' probably mid 19th century. The upper section with three open shelves to accommodate the folio boxes, the lower section with four drawers, raised on turned bun feet. With two further folio cases making a set of five.
Provenance
Purchased by the National Trust with the family collection of Lacock Abbey contents in situ from Mrs. Petronella Burnett-Brown in December 2009.
