Summary
French automaton box by A. Giroux et Cie consisting of a black wooden box with at the front the picture of an organist and a monkey with moving parts playing music and both watched by several children on a street. Has the label: ‘Alphonse Giroux et Comp, Rue du Coq, Sainte Honore, No.7, à Paris’ at the back of the box and an incomplete mechanism inside.
