Summary
Patience playing cards manufactured by Thos Delarue &co, London contained in a small maroon cardboard box with sliding cover and a two tiers card compartment containing two sets of cards. One is green at the back with a concentric red flower in the middle and has 52 cards. The other one is orange and purple with the same pattern and has 52 cards. The sleeve is broken, one corner is detached.
Full description
The cards themselves are marked as Goodall and sons, London. In 1922, Charles Goodall and Son was merged with De La Rue. After the merger identical packs were sold apparently haphazardly under the De la Rue and Goodall names, with De la Rue and Goodall Aces of Spades and Jokers used indiscriminately.
