Summary
Mettoy "Joytown" No. 5617 'O' gauge model railway station comprising a short platform with integral end ramps and a building with an overhanging flat canopy roof. The building is illustrated on the track-facing side with a lithographed design of a station booking hall in the centre, with a newsagent to the left and a buffet to the right, and is predominantly yellow in colour. The opposite face of the building forms an alcove which is red inside. The platform is lithographed with a design of yellow-brown planking on the top flat area, a speckled yellow-brown surface for each ramp and red stone/brickwork on the sides. The platform edge design is of yellow stones. Tinplate construction with some surface rust especially on the underside.
