Full description
George VI ‘Scottish’ One shilling coin. The obverse has a left facing George. Around the edge is ‘GEORGIVS VI D: G: BR: OMN: REX:’. The reverse has a crown with a sitting lion wearing a crown and holding a sword and sceptre. Either side of the lion are ‘19’ with a shield bearing a diagonal cross beneath and ‘49’ with a thistle beneath. Around the top edge is ‘FID: DEF’ ‘IND: IMP’. Along the bottom edge is ‘ONE SHILLING’
