Full description
George VI Two Shillings, or Florin coin. The obverse has a left facing George VI with around the edge ‘GEORGIVS VI D: G: BR: OMN: REX’. The reverse a Tudor rose in the centre, surmounted by a crown, with a Scottish Thistle to the left with ‘G’ underneath. To the right is the Irish Shamrock with ‘ R’ underneath. Around the top edge is ‘: FID :’ ‘: DEF :’. Around the remaining edge from left to right is ’TWO SHILLINGS 1951’
