A mid 19th c Anglo-Indian ivory veneered sewing box of rectangular form, the cover engraved "JP" within an oval cartouche and a foliate meander border, enclosing a fitted interior of ivory bobbins.

Ivory (or could possibly be whale bone as it has discoloured?) veneered sewing box with black decorative garland (various compartments and contents) Initials JP(?).
