Summary
A mahogany 'Carlton House' writing table or desk, English, circa 1835. The raised super-structure is fitted with drawers and cupboards with reeded column pilasters, leather lined sliding writing surface, with three frieze drawers and raised on reeded turned legs with carved acanthus collars, brass cap castors.
Provenance
Purchased by the National Trust with the family collection of Lacock Abbey contents in situ from Mrs. Petronella Burnett-Brown in December 2009.
