Summary
A mahogany canopied single bed or lit bateau, French, circa 1840. With a panelled head and foot board with scrolled top rails and square section pilasters to the sides, raised on turned feet. The canopy raised above the head with crimson damask and rope braid hangings.
Provenance
Purchased by the National Trust with the family collection of Lacock Abbey contents in situ from Mrs. Petronella Burnett-Brown in December 2009.
